Special Attorney Admission Ceremony

On December 3, 1842, young Abraham Lincoln was admitted to practice before the federal court by U.S. District Judge Nathaniel Pope. Celebrating the 175th Anniversary of that event, U.S. District Judge Richard Mills and U.S. District Judge Sue E. Myerscough will conduct a special admission ceremony in the Springfield United States Courtroom, No. II, on December 8, 2017 at 2:00pm. Any newly licensed attorneys wishing to be admitted on that day should contact Michelle Eddings, in the Springfield U.S. Clerk’s Office by Monday, Dec. 4th.
