We have had recent reports that individuals are receiving scam phone calls from a number purporting to come from the Central District of Illinois.  During these calls, scammers attempt to collect a fine in lieu of arrest due.  THIS IS A SCAM.  Anyone who receives such a call should not provide the requested information, hang up the phone, and immediately notify the U.S. District Clerk’s Office (217) 492-4020, as well as local law enforcement and the Federal Trade Commission.
